The Presbyterian Association on Science, Technology and the Christian Faith (PASTCF) reached out for suggestions on updating their website. A site audit by BMV Digital determined that the site was built on the Squarespace platform and identified problems with mobile responsiveness as well as non-functioning features on important pages related to donations and membership payments.
In a video call with the PASTCF board, we discussed the errors and offered two solutions. The first was to keep the site on Squarespace and fix the issues. The second, more comprehensive solution was to upgrade the site to WordPress in addition to addressing the issues. After hearing about the advantages of the WordPress platform vs. Squarespace — including the ability to have several email addresses with no additional costs — the board decided to upgrade to WordPress.
We are currently redeveloping the site on our hosting server and incorporating membership and church giving solutions to enable PASTCF to automate the collection of dues and contributions. The target launch date is January 2024.
